Academy of Math

Academy of Math is an intervention program that is computer based and intended for student in grades 2-12. The training is intensive and should not be used for longer than 15-20 minutes at a time with younger students and no more than 30 minutes in a sitting for older students. This intervention, while delivered on a computer, is not effective without direct teachers interaction. This means the pupil teacher ratio should be adhered to and the teacher should monitor what each student is doing in the program in real time to intervene when necessary. Academy of Reading

Academy of Reading is a computer based reading intervention recommended for students in grades 2-12. Like training in Academy for Math, the program is intensive and should not be used more than 15-20 minutes in a session for younger students and no more than 30 minutes for older students. The first time a student log into the system, an assessment is given to determine the best placement in the system. Students should be monitored at all times while working in the Academy program. Teachers should be available to intervene with additional instruction while the student is in the system working. Learn more about Academy of Reading by visiting their site using the links below. A summary of the system is provided in this document.

5. Teach students how to use the program, example, finger placement on keyboard, accuracy before speed, program features, etc.
6. Talk to students about automaticity, speed, accuracy, productive struggle.
7. Print, display, and send home certificates earned in the program (all ages)
